India, Sept. 18 -- A s the festive season sets in, Delhi's cultural calendar is once again preparing to be dominated by the timeless spectacle of Ramlilas. This year, the casting is as dramatic as the epic. Actor Poonam Pandey is set to step into the shoes of Mandodari, Ravana's wife, at the iconic Luv Kush Ramlila hosted at the Red Fort grounds. Sharing the spotlight with her will be actor Arya Babbar, who takes on the role of the demon king, Ravana. In a letter addressed to the organising committee of one of the Capital's oldest Ramlilas, Poonam expressed her delight at being chosen: "It's a matter of great joy and pride for me that I am getting the opportunity to be a part of this historic and grand event... Ramlila is not just a religious event. Rather, it's a celebration of our culture and tradition. By joining it, I consider myself fortunate. I look forward to being part of this event with full devotion and enthusiasm."...
