India, Aug. 10 -- Art has always inspired creators, and now it's coming to a dinner plate near you. Enter David Rivillo, a pasta designer from Porto Alegre, Brazil, who's been crafting edible masterpieces since 2016. His pasta comes in patterns like stripes, zig-zags, polka dots, rainbows, and even bricks - all made by hand, and all entirely edible. Rivillo's eye-catching creations recently earned him a spot at a Chef's Table Brazil event, in collaboration with Dolce & Gabbana. "I contributed one course, creating tortelli inspired by the guinea fowl, a bird with striking black feathers and white spots. I translated that pattern into the pasta dough," he says. The result? A course that looked like couture and tasted like fine dining. What makes Rivillo's pasta even cooler is that it's coloured entirely with natural dyes. "I rely on vegetables and spices in puree or powder form," he explains, adding, "I pay close attention to the science behind each colour to keep the dough's texture stable and the flavour untouched." The pasta designer doesn't just cook - he observes: "I'm always looking at patterns, colours, and shapes in science, nature, art, architecture, textiles, and fashion. When something catches my eye, I immediately imagine how I could recreate it with dough." With fashion and food coming closer than ever, Rivillo believes the link is natural. He says, "They're personal, emotional, and reflect who we are. They also follow seasons and trends. That's why they connect so well and often inspire each other." other."...
