India, Dec. 11 -- After the recent acquittal of actor Dileep, actor Parvathy Thiruvothu has extended her support to the 2017 MeToo survivor. Dileep was accused of assault by the victim and the verdict acquitting him was announced on December 8 by Kerala Sessions Court. Shortly after the ruling, Parvarthy took to social media. She wrote on her Instagram Stories, "I am reading all your messages. Thank you. For taking the time out to write about how this verdict has shocked and affected you. Because this does affect all of us! Keeping your privacy intact I'm sharing some of your messages so we all feel supported and together, and our girl knows we are here for her! (sic)." Parvathy also shared screenshots of several messages, which landed in her DM, offering support for the victim. Other public figures from the Malayalam film industry, like Ramya Nambessan and Rima Kallingal have also publicaly supported the sexual abuse victim. The 2017 case involved the abduction and assault of a prominent Malayalam actor. The incident was recorded by the main accused, Pulsar Suni.
