Might have made a mistake: Eijaz Khan on quitting TV 'too soon'
India, July 6 -- Being noticed was never a problem for actor Eijaz Khan, who was a familiar face on the silver screens in the aughts, and later featured in several OTT projects.
Despite his filmography, Eijaz admits that he's still navigating his place in the industry: "There have been phases where I thought, 'Maybe I made a mistake by stepping away from TV at my peak in 2008.' But that's water under the bridge."
The 49-year-old, recently seen in the web series Adrishyam 2, reveals that he took on certain roles out of necessity than creativity. But post Bigg Boss, the actor says that he "made a conscious effort to align roles" with his sensibilities. "While I have played the best roles, there was a period when I felt I was being over-consumed. I was part of many shows. Later, I chose quality over quantity," he explains.
Perhaps most revealingly, Eijaz confesses to bouts of imposter syndrome. "It might sound funny, but even today I go through phases where I struggle with imposter syndrome. I keep wondering, 'Am I doing the right thing? How did I get here?'" he signs off....
