Messi event organiser vows to 'expose' Kolkata fiasco

he organiser behind Lionel Messi's GOAT Tour to India has spoken out months after the controversy surrounding the football icon's visit to Kolkata triggered chaos at Salt Lake Stadium. The controversy erupted when Messi and his Inter Miami CF teammates, including Luis Suarez and Rodrigo De Paul, arrived at the stadium and were mobbed by political leaders and members of the organising committee, leaving thousands of fans with little opportunity to see the players despite packed stands and expensive tickets.
As security struggled to clear the crowd around Messi, the footballer reportedly left the venue early, allegedly frustrated by the situation and unable to interact with fans. His departure sparked anger inside the stadium, with fans booing, throwing bottles and posters, and vandalising parts of the venue.
Organiser Satadru Dutta, who was later detained at Kolkata airport and spent 39 days in custody before being granted interim bail, has now alleged sabotage behind the event's collapse. In a series of social media posts, Dutta accused unnamed political figures of interfering with the arrangements and "blackmailing" the event. "Just because you have lost in the elections, don't think that you have been punished. I will lodge a defamation case, and if needed, will go to the Supreme Court." He also wrote: "PRESS CONFERENCE IS COMING SOON. EVERYTHING WILL BE EXPOSED (sic)."
