India, Sept. 9 -- Some of the finest filmmakers of Indian cinema came under one roof this weekend to be enthralled by actor Manoj Bajpayee-starrer Jugnuma on the big screen. The screening of the acclaimed magical realism drama was hosted by Academy Award-winner Guneet Monga Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap, who are also Executive Producers. The line-up of guests included stalwarts Saeed Akhtar Mirza and Sudhir Mishra, along with filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane, Abhishek Chaubey, Amar Kaushik, Vasan Bala, Advait Chandan, Ayappa KM, Nandita Das, Rima Das, Honey Trehan, Mozez Singh, Umesh Bist, Aditya Sarpotdar, Amit Joshi and Shlok Sharma. Rima Das said, "Jugnuma is striking for its courage and lyrical quality. The poetry of its storytelling and the brilliance of its performances lingered long after the screening. It's wonderful to see films like this break boundaries and reach out to audiences in new ways." Vikramaditya Motwane shared, "It's a stunning film; beautifully performed, shot, and filled with Raam Reddy's trademark magic. Jugnuma really soars and stays with you." Saeed Mirza added, "What an extraordinary cinematic journey! It's powerful, poetic, and visually breathtaking - truly an experience to savour." This was the second such assembly of directors banding together for Jugnuma. Its trailer was launched last week by filmmakers Vetri Maaran, Lijo Jose Pellissery, Raj B Shetty and Nag Ashwin. Jugnuma, written and directed by Raam Reddy, stars Manoj Bajpayee with Deepak Dobriyal, Priyanka Bose, Tillotama Shome, Hiral Sidhu, and Awan Pookot.
