Manforce unveils India's first AI condom ambassador
India, Oct. 1 -- Meet Myra Kapoor, an AI-generated model designed to spark open conversations about intimacy and desire.
Unveiled by Manforce Condoms at a recent event in the Capital, Myra is India's first AI condom ambassador. The brand aims to make intimacy mainstream and even futuristic as AI models like Myra normalise sexual wellness as a part of modern lifestyle and culture through television commercials and marketing campaigns.
Why is this important? About 6% of India's adult population is estimated to have a sexually transmitted disease (STD) every year; Myra can bypass the taboos associated with condoms and allow the brand to discuss intimacy and sexuality openly. The brand's fresh approach to sexual wellness steps away from the usual celebrity endorsements that once dominated the category.
The brand, which had earlier brought on actor-model Sunny Leone to redefine condom advertising, is now betting on Myra's humanlike behaviour and seamless portrayal of emotions to carry forward its streak.
"Every formula has an expiry date. With celebrities often unwilling to associate with condoms, AI gives us limitless creative possibilities," said Rajeev Juneja, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Mankind Pharma, adding that Myra will continue to "evolve" with every campaign.
With this move, the brand positions itself at the frontier of technology, sexuality and pop culture, while opening doors to a future where AI personalities could reinvent marketing and consumer engagement.htc...
