India, Sept. 1 -- Bhojpuri actor Anjali Raghav has accepted singer-actor Pawan Singh's apology after a video went viral showing him touching her waist without consent during a stage event in Lucknow. On Saturday, Anjali reposted Pawan's message on Instagram (see right), writing, "Pawan Singh ji ne apni galti ki maafi maang li hai. Wo mujhse bade hai aur senior artiste hain... maine unhe maaf kar diya hai. Main iss baat ko aage nahin badhana chahti. Jai Shree Ram." Pawan had issued a statement on Saturday night, writing in Hindi, translated in English (inset right): "Due to a busy schedule, Anjali ji, I couldn't watch your live. When I came to know about this matter, I felt bad. I had no wrong intention towards you because we are all artists. Even then, if you felt hurt by any of my actions or behaviour, I sincerely apologise for that." The incident unfolded at a promotional event for their song Saiya Seva Kare, where Pawan was seen placing his hand on Anjali's waist as she addressed the crowd. Initially smiling, she appeared visibly uncomfortable when he persisted, before he eventually stepped back. In a series of Instagram videos earlier, Anjali said she had been "disturbed for two days" and stressed, adding, "Do you think I would be happy or enjoy being touched in public like that? I absolutely do not support touching any girl without her permission." She had also said that she would quit the Bhojpuri industry: "I will not work in the Bhojpuri industry anymore...
