India, Jan. 5 -- On Sunday, actors Mahhi Vij and Jay Bhanushali, once among TV's most-loved couples, announced that they are separating after 14 years of marriage. The news was shared by the couple through identical statements on their social-media accounts. They said that although they are parting ways, they will continue to support one another and focus on co-parenting their three children: Tara, Khushi and Rajveer. Reports of trouble in the marriage had been circulating since last year. In October 2025, HT City (see inset below) had first reported that the two were heading in different directions. According to sources, issues are believed to have stemmed from Mahhi's trust concerns involving Jay. The two had also become less visible together online. "Once known for their joint vlogs, they gradually stopped posting as a couple. Their last family collaboration was in June 2024," a source told us. They were last seen together publicly at daughter Tara's birthday celebrations in August, where videos showed the two maintaining distance. Speculation intensified further after a viral clip in July in which Mahhi deflected a question about her marriage. Mahhi and Jay got married on November 11, 2011.
