India, July 3 -- Sharp reactions have been pouring in from Delhiites after Sunder Nursery was turned into a makeshift swimming pool. The video, captioned, "SWIMMING POOL IN SUNDER NURSERY (sic)," shows children and adults jumping into one of the site's many water bodies. The incident took place on June 29, when the city experienced widespread showers. Uploaded on Monday, the post has nown gained over 399k views and 5k comments on Instagram. As the video continues to gain traction, figures such as actor Rajesh Tailang are weighing in on the matter. The actor, who regards the Capital as his home, tells us, "Sunder Nursery inspires a sense of responsibility to preserve both Nature and history. This incident reminds me, sadly, how lacking we Delhiites are when it comes to civic sense." Delhi-based actor-singer Sanjeeta Bhattacharya echoes the statement and asks, "Did [the people in the video] not know this is not allowed? If so, was security not there at the time?" The site is managed by Aga Khan Trust for Culture and as per the managers, the incident lasted all of 17 minutes. Ratish Nanda, CEO of the trust, asserts that the public is not allowed into any of the nursery's water bodies. He says, "A group of visitors ignored clear signs and entered into the water channel at the Gardens of Delight from 8.02pm to 8.19pm. Fortunately, nobody was hurt and the electric equipment in the channel was not damaged. We are grateful that many visitors aided the guards in ensuring the dangerous activity was brought to a halt within minutes."...
