Kriti Sanon raises concern over Delhi's toxic air
India, Nov. 24 -- A
ctor Kriti Sanon, who hails from Delhi, voiced serious concern over the Capital's worsening air quality, saying pollution is getting "worse and worse" and immediate action is needed.
Speaking at a press conference for her upcoming film, she warned that without urgent measures, Delhi could reach a point "where we won't be able to see each other standing next to us". She added, "I don't think saying anything will help. It is getting worse. I am from Delhi, and I know what it used to be earlier. Something needs to be done to stop it."
Her comments come amid growing public alarm as thick layers of toxic smog continue to blanket the region, prompting authorities to reinforce emergency pollution-control measures.
Last month, actor Vaani Kapoor and Mira Rajput also raised concerns on Instagram about post-Diwali pollution in the city. The team of Cocktail 2, currently shooting in Delhi, told us that they have secured their sets against the poor AQI, from installing air purifiers in vanity vans and rooms to using masks on set, to ensure a safe and workable environment.
