India, June 15 -- The latest buzzword is cortisol - it's behind the teas, supplements, skincare and even home decor promising to help us feel calmer and more balanced. With over 617K views on Instagram, cortisol-focused wellness is exploding, and your home could be key to keeping it in check. It is the hormone your body releases under stress. In small bursts, it's useful. But too much can lead to anxiety, poor sleep and burnout. Design plays a role here: a cluttered space (think overhead lights, crowded surfaces, digital noise). A calm space setup, by contrast, sends cues of safety and ease. "Soothing decor changes how the brain and body respond," explains psychologist Dr Reeva Mathur, adding, "Curved shapes, warm tones and natural textures help calm the nervous system." The best way to achieve this? The boho aesthetic. Think earthy colours, soft textures and organic forms that soothe instead of stimulate. "The Bohemian aesthetic offers a quiet escape. It's grounded, breathable and refreshingly human," says Natasha Jain, co-founder of Natelier by Bent Chair. She also suggests indoor greens to "reduce sensory noise."...
