India, Aug. 17 -- Kelly Clarkson has decided to take a step back from the spotlight in the wake of her ex-husband Brandon Blackstock's passing earlier this month. Blackstock (picture inset), a music manager and producer, died at the age of 48 after a battle with melanoma. The singer had already cancelled a string of shows from her Las Vegas residency, and has now withdrawn from performing at the Band Together Texas benefit concert on August 17. The event, set to raise funds for victims of Hurricane Beryl, was one of her most anticipated live appearances this summer. Event organisers confirmed her exit in a statement, citing "personal circumstances" and extending their "deepest support" to Clarkson and her family. According to Blackstock's obituary, the concert date coincides with his celebration of life ceremony in Tennessee, making her absence from the stage inevitable. Clarkson, who shares two children, daughter River Rose and son Remington Alexander, with Blackstock, has yet to make a public statement about his death. Friends close to the singer, however, say she is focusing on her family and allowing herself time to grieve privately. The couple, who married in 2013, finalised their divorce in 2022 after nearly a decade together. Despite their highly publicised split, Clarkson had spoken in the past about the importance of co-parenting and ensuring their children remained at the centre of both their lives. While fans may miss her presence on stage this month, many have flooded social media with messages of support, urging the singer to take all the time she needs. HTC...
