Katy and Orlando confirm split, will co-parent daughter
India, July 5 -- Singer Katy Perry (40) and actor Orlando Bloom (48), who dated for nine years and got engaged in 2019, have officially announced their split after months of speculation. In a joint statement, the couple explained that they have been shifting their relationship focus "towards co-parenting", as their "shared priority is" their four-and-a-half-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, representatives told Page Six on Thursday.
The statement read: "Dueto the abundance of recent interest and conversation surrounding Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship, representatives have confirmed that they have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting."
It added, "They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability, and mutual respect." A source told Us Weekly that the decision to end their relationship was mutual: "It's not contentious. Katy is upset, but relieved to not have to go through another divorce."
