India, Oct. 17 -- Hollywood actor Jim Caviezel, best known for his work in Mel Gibson's directorial The Passion of the Christ (2004), has become the latest addition to the cast of Archangel. Also featuring Olivia Thirlby, Garret Dillahunt and Shea Whigham, the film is slated to release in theatres on November 6, 2026, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Directed by Will Eubank, whose projects include Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin (2021) and Russel Crowe-starrer Land of Bad (2024), the script for Archangel has been penned by Chris Papasadero and Randall Wallace. The plot details are being kept under wraps. Besides Passion of the Christ, the 57-year-old has also been a part of projects such as Sound of Freedom (2023), where he essayed the role of US government agent Tim Ballard and The Count of Monte Cristo (2002) alongside the late Richard Harris and Guy Pearce.
