India, Oct. 5 -- With an acting career that spans 36 years, Jamie McShane credits "persistence and luck" for his longevity in the business. Recently seen in thriller miniseries Task, he reflects, "Making a living doing my dream has been the most amazing thing for me. It's surreal... In my 36 years, Task is the best gig I've ever had." Jamie also heaps praise on castmate Mark Ruffalo, who led the series: "He's just a wonderful human and an amazing talent who is kind and very fluid. I don't think he has any clue that he's a movie star (laughs). He does know, but he doesn't understand the magnitude." The 59-year-old, who has been part of acclaimed series such as Wednesday and Bloodline, admits to being astounded by the reach that content has today. "Television and movies have merged because of streaming. Writers get to tell their stories without compressing them into two hours. Nor do they have to follow the rules of TV." Jamie also has a special fondness for India. "I did Busman's Holiday (2020), for which we went around the world and one of the stops was Mumbai. I filmed in the city for a couple of days; it was intense but the people were very nice and I loved being there," he shares, adding, "I'd love to return to Mumbai, but I'd rather go see the rest of India that I haven't seen first."...
