India, Feb. 4 -- The fresh look Delhi acquires after a spattering of rain is hard to forget. Capturing this is Reflections, a photo exhibition by Dr Jasvir Singh Rana, which explores how reality reveals itself twice: once as it stands and once as it is perceived. "Many of these photographs have been taken within heritage monument premises, many images arise from quiet corners where history mirrors itself. Some reflections are born in monsoon puddles, where rain briefly transforms gardens and courtyards such as those at the Lodhi Gardens into living canvases," shares Rana, a radiologist by profession, and a lensman by passion who has led several heritage walks in the city. "All images are captured using a mobile phone camera," he reveals, adding, "When the camera lives in the pocket, attentiveness becomes the true craft, and the moment itself becomes the subject. My aim is to encourage cell phone users to join heritage walks and visit places like Lodhi Garden, Purana Qila and the many UNESCO heritage monuments in Delhi. These are the spaces where history and monuments stand frozen in time." htc...
