Imran's comeback film to be ready for release early 2026?
India, Nov. 7 -- Actor Imran Khan's onscreen comeback after a decade was confirmed earlier this year. Now, we have learnt that the first edit of the OTT film could be locked as soon as December this year itself.
A source close to the project, which also stars Bhumi Pednekar, tells us, "The shoot of the film wrapped up in August, it is now in post production. The makers are hoping to lock the edit by December, and release it early next year."
However, the release date is not certain yet. "That's all dependent on Netflix, so one will have to wait for them to commit to a date. Nothing happens until seven layers of corporate executives have signed off," the source adds.
The as yet untitled project is directed by Danish Aslam, and the duo has been longtime friends. The projected is expected to be in the romantic-comedy zone, which Imran has immense experience in, courtesy films including Jaane Tu. Ya Jaane Na (2008), Break Ke Baad (2010) Mere Brother Ki Dulhan (2011), and his last outing Katti Batti (2015)....
