Immensely rewarding: Mithoon on Dhun's entry into global charts
India, Aug. 17 -- A
long with the cast and crew, composer-singer Mithoon is riding high on the Saiyaara wave. His track from the film Dhun, his latest collaboration with Arijit Singh, has made its way into the Spotify Top 100 Global Charts at the 97th spot. Calling the journey "extraordinary", the 40-year-old composer says, "This achievement represents not just personal success, but the growing recognition of Indian cinema's musical artistry on the world stage. I'm deeply grateful to see our authentic storytelling resonate with listeners everywhere."
The song has already crossed nearly 50 million cumulative streams and found a spot on Spotify's Viral Global 50, becoming the second track from the film to do so.
Interestingly, it also marks a reunion for Mithoon with long-time collaborators Arijit Singh and Mohit Chauhan. The trio has previously created some of Bollywood's most enduring melodies with Aashiqui 2 (2013), Ek Villain (2014), Hamari Adhuri Kahani (2015) and Malang (2020).
