India, July 24 -- Abhishek Bachchan has been delicately balancing his acting ventures into unconventional cinema and mainstream Bollywood. Recently seen in Kaalidhar Laapata and Housefull 5, the actor feels grateful for the audience accepting him in both roles. "I don't think you should question (the audience's response) too much. Once a film is done, you have to concentrate on your next one and try to outdo your previous work," he tells us, adding, "It's like a treadmill - you are forever running and running, trying to improve." The 49-year-old, who will next be seen in King alongside Shah Rukh Khan, has had a front-row seat to the evolution of platforms and scripts in the industry for the past 25 years. But what he misses now is the nostalgic charm of music and melodrama of old school Bollywood. "We have reduced our dependency on the song and dance routine a bit," he opines. His own films including Dhoom (2004) Bunty Aur Babli (2005), Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna (2006), Guru (2007), Dostana (2008), and many more had plenty of it. Abhishek adds, "(But) I think the old Bollywood is still very much around and thriving... Maybe it's just (a phase), but I would love to see it come back again. It's one of my favourite parts of our films, and has existed for years."...
