India, June 13 -- Hong Kong rapper-singer Jackson Wang is loving being back in India. Two years after his performance at the Lollapalooza music festival, the 31-year-old say "this time is special". Especially since Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan hosted a welcome party for him in Mumbai. Ask if there's a collaboration inthe works, and Jackson responds: "I am not sure, he is super busy... I've heard he is preparing for Krrish 4. Hopefully, I will be in Krrish 4, where I come out and die right away!" The musician, known for his solo albums Mirrors (2019) and Magic Man (2022), recently collaborated with singer Diljit Dosanjh for the chart-topping single, BUCK. A self-proclaimed fan of the Punjabi star, Jackson shares, "I was so amazed with his impactful performance at Coachella and thought I would be blessed if I could collaborate with him someday. When I asked him if he vibes with the song, he gave me such moral support and respect as an artiste. I have been lucky to have this experience." Having found his own record label Team Wang in 2017, Jackson has now embarked on a new chapter with his latest album, Magic Man 2. All set for a July 18 release, Jackson says that it explores the juxtaposition of his public and personal image: "It chronicles my struggles and ups and downs from when I entered the industry at 19. There is a lot that I missed out on in my youth, but I also experienced a lot at such a young age." It is divided into four thematic chapters - Manic Highs, Losing Control, Realization, and Acceptance - which he says narrate the different stages of his life. He explains, "I try to be me. Honesty and authenticity are the essence of my brand and music. Earlier, I wanted to be cool, but now I realise being cool is being consistent with being you." Other than the starry meet and the buzz around his work, the musician has been soaking in the culture of the country. The musician "I'm here to feel the city, meet the locals, experience the traditional culture, food, sport, and the people. Though I've only been here two days, it feels like I have spent three years! And the nightlife is amazing," the musician signs off....
