India, April 7 -- J awed Ashraf, who served as India's ambassador to France from 2020 to 2024, has been conferred the Commandeur de la Legion d'Honneur, one of France's highest civilian honours. At a recent ceremony at the French Embassy, Ambassador Thierry Mathou presented the insignia, recognising Ashraf's "remarkable career and personal dedication" in strengthening India-France ties.
