The day brought together sporting icons, diplomats and fans for an exhibition match between Sports Minister's XI, led by Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya, and Hockey India XI, captained by President Hockey India, Dilip Tirkey. The spirited contest ended with Sports Minister's XI clinching the win. More than just a match, the celebration reflected on a century of Indian hockey - from its golden beginnings to its modern triumphs. The crowd was treated to a high-energy performance by Siddharth Mahadevan, who set the tone with patriotic anthems including Zinda Hai, Lakshya and Kandhon Se Milte Kadam, echoing the emotion of the occasion.
