India, Dec. 7 -- On Friday, legendary poet, writer, and lyricist Gulzar had Delhites in awe at the 10th edition of Jashn-e-Rekhta in Baansera Park. He talked of Urdu, poetry, language and wit. "Agar koi fakir bhi behtar Urdu bolta hai, toh woh bhi ek nawab ki tarah dikhta hai," he smiled. The highlight of the night, however, was when Gulzar recited his poem, 'Yeh Kaisa Ishq Hai Urdu Zubaan Ka'. While Gulzar's session was soulful, Sukhwinder Singh's performance was pure adrenaline. When his first beats of Chaiyya Chaiyya (Dil Se) dropped and the park came alive. One after another, the hits landed: Taal Se Taal Mila (Taal), Jai Ho (Slumdog Millionaire), Nasha Hi Nasha Hai (Short 2000), each one turning the venue into a concert stage. Between songs, he paused often, smiling and thanking Delhi for its warmth and madness....
