India, Aug. 9 -- From starting his career as a traffic signal boy in the Sonakshi Sinha-starrer Noor (2017), to now playing one of the leads in web series Mandala Murders, Vaibhav Raj Gupta can't believe that he has come all this way. And he landed it because of a light-hearted show. The 34-year-old shares, "I asked Gopi (Puthran, director) sir, 'I've never played a role like this. What did you see in me?' He said he was watching (web series) Gullak with his wife Khyati at the time he was writing Mandala. She told him, 'There is something about this boy'. He saw that intensity in the third season, when my character has a tiff with his father." Vaibhav shares the screen with Vaani Kapoor in the new release, which is a murder mystery revolving around a machine that grants wishes. However, before beginning his showbiz journey, Vaibhav was not actively auditioning for projects as he was happy doing theatre. "I never auditioned earlier because I felt I would not be able to show much through that. I felt that I should learn more about camera acting, then see how I can reach there. Then Gullak happened, followed by (web series) Good Bad Girl. Then Gopi sir saw me. When you do your hard work and are trying, somebody somewhere is watching you. Nothing goes to waste. It all makes sense to me now," he ends....
