India, Aug. 29 -- F or the Kapoors, Ganesh Chaturthi isn't just a festival - it's a family legacy. This year marks the 51st Ganpati celebration at their Mumbai home, and Tusshar Kapoor couldn't be more thrilled. "It has been over 50 years now that we've celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi at home, since 1974. It's no longer just a tradition but a family ritual," he shares. When it comes to festive fare, the Kapoor household keeps it simple yet wholesome. "We don't prepare elaborate delicacies, but we stay vegetarian for all five days with dishes like puri-bhaji, raita and my regular protein diet. We order fat-free and gluten-free modaks, which are then offered to guests who visit for darshan, as well as when we go to other homes for darshan," the actor explains. Interestingly, his festive shopping was done far from home: "I did my Ganesh festival shopping in London while shooting for a film. I feel Bappa blesses us with the wisdom to shop wisely and not become a shopaholic." The celebrations at the Kapoor residence last five days, culminating in visarjan: "Visarjan is on the fifth day, and now my son (Laksshya) enjoys going along with the idol. I also actively promote beach cleaning and encourage eco-friendly idols."...
