India, Aug. 22 -- Actor Geeta Basra is set to return to the screen after an eight-year hiatus, with a Punjabi project. This will be her first film since marrying former cricketer Harbhajan Singh in 2015. The 41-year-old shares that she worked on a Hindi film two years ago, but it was never released. "It seems my Punjabi film was meant to be my comeback," she tells us, adding, "I don't want to say or feel [anything] negative. I took a pause to focus on other events and priorities in my life." When asked about Harbhajan's reaction to her decision to resume acting, she says, "He has always been the one who encouraged me to do whatever I love the most." Geeta hopes to explore OTT projects, which she believes now offer more opportunities for women. "I would love to be a part of OTT shows. There are so many great shows in the making. Whatever had come to me in the past wasn't worth doing for me. I feel there are so many opportunities for women," she says. With businessman Raj Kundra debuting as her co-star in the upcoming film, Mehar, Geeta is all praise for his acting talent. "I was pleasantly surprised to see Raj act. He is a natural; it seems he was born for the camera," she says...
