Foodies divided over food app's 'pure veg' fleet
India, March 21 -- Food aggregator Zomato's Pure Veg Fleet, to serve those with a "100% vegetarian dietary preference", sent social media into a tizzy over what constitutes "pure veg" and an on-ground fleet segregation. The initially positive response to CEO Deepinder Goyal's announcement on X gave way to a barrage of divided opinions. "A dedicated non-veg and veg category and kitchen is understandable, but it doesn't have to call for the need of a parallel service," says patisserie chef Guntas Sethi, adding, "I understand the sentiments [that people have when] the same utensil is used, and food mixing up, but there's no reason for a special service/uniform."...
