India, July 18 -- A ctor Emma Watson has been banned from driving for six months after being caught speeding in Oxford, the UK. According to the BBC, the 35-year-old was fined £1,044 (approx. Rs.1.2 lakh) for driving her blue Audi at 38mph in a 30mph zone in July 2023 - while already having nine points on her licence. Emma did not attend the brief five-minute hearing at High Wycombe Magistrates' Court and was represented by her lawyer Mark Haslam, who said she "fully understands her position" and "will accept her punishment." Emma or her rep had not commented regarding the incident, reported E!. The Harry Potter star, best known for playing Hermione Granger, has taken a step back from acting in recent years to focus on academics. She's currently pursuing a graduate degree at Oxford University and has largely stayed out of the limelight. However, Emma made headlines with a rare public appearance at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival in May, marking her return to the event after 12 years.
