India, June 6 -- We tried at least three times, but it always got delayed," laughs actor Yuvika Chaudhary (41) when asked why it took her and model-actor Prince Narula (34) seven years to formalise their marriage. The couple, who got married in October 2018, recently shared a vlog where they revealed that they were now "officially" married. Speaking to us, Yuvika shares, "My mum even booked a slot for us, our schedules clashed. Prince was either travelling or shooting for Roadies; he would start the paperwork, but he just didn't have the time to finish." She continues, "In many areas, people don't register marriages. But, registering the marriage was not just my decision, but Prince's too. We wanted to get the papers sorted out legally. It's the right thing to do." However, it wasn't till the birth of their daughter Ikleen last October that urgency truly kicked in. "Now that we have to travel and documentation has to be very strong, we couldn't delay it any longer. Registering our marriage became the priority," the actor explains. "It's like it was meant to happen now. Our daughter arrived and then everything started falling into place," she notes, adding, "I told Prince, 'I'm officially going to use your surname,' and he was so happy. It's given us a new kind of completeness." Addressing divorce rumors that did the rounds earlier this year, the actor says, "Trolls will talk. They don't know the real story behind what we are shooting and comment on what they suppose is correct." The decision to keep their daughter's identity under wraps also stems from this sentiment. "I have such a beautiful life, I don't want to spoil it by giving importance to negativity. That's why we haven't shown our daughter's face. Prince and I, we're public figures, not our parents, nor our child," she ends....
