Culture and achievement take the stage at DPS Faridabad's Annual Day
India, Dec. 25 -- The Annual Day 2025 at Delhi Public School, Faridabad was marked by grandeur and cultural vibrancy on December 13 and 14. The two-day celebration brought together parents, faculty, alumni and students for an inspiring showcase of talent, creativity and achievement.
Day 1 was attended by Namita Pradhan, Chairperson of the Managing Committee of DPS Faridabad and former Assistant Director General at the World Health Organisation. In her address, she applauded the students' consistent accomplishments and noted the steady improvement in their performance year after year.
On Day 2, the school welcomed Krishan Pal Gurjar, Union Minister of State for Cooperation, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. He praised the institution for its role in imparting quality education and shaping well-rounded individuals. Principal Sangeeta Chakravarty extended a warm welcome to the dignitaries and spoke about the school's progressive approach to education, which has evolved from traditional classroom teaching to collaborative learning that equips students with skills beyond information.
Emphasising the philosophy of nurturing the head, hand and heart, she reiterated the school's commitment to holistic development and continuous excellence. Highlighting key milestones, she noted that students secured AIR 1 in CLAT 2025 and won two Gold Medals and one Bronze Medal at the International Mathematical Olympiad 2025. She also shared that Gold Medallist Kanav Talwar, along with Kenisha Agrawal, has secured admission to the world's top-ranked university, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
The Annual School Report, presented by Headmistress Banita Singh on Day 1 and Vice Principal Simmy Kant on Day 2, outlined the school's achievements in academics, sports, global exposure and co-curricular activities for the academic session 2024-25. The celebrations also featured the Proficiency Awards Ceremony, where students were felicitated for excellence.
The highlight of both evenings was the grand theatrical production Punjab Di Aab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh. Brought alive through powerful dramatisation, captivating dance sequences, vibrant music and expressive narration, the production traced the life and legacy of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, underlining his visionary leadership, secular outlook and commitment to harmony. Meticulously designed sets, authentic costumes and seamless transitions added visual richness and historical depth, leaving the audience deeply moved.
