Chinmaya Vidyalaya's annual day puts human values at the forefront
India, Dec. 7 -- The Annual Prize Distribution Function of Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Delhi, glowed with inspiration as Chirag Paswan, Cabinet Minister of Food Processing Industries, graced the morning session as the Chief Guest, with Gajainder Yadav, MLA from Mehrauli Constituency as Guest of Honour.
Speaking with honesty, Paswan opened up about the struggles, uncertainties and emotional highs and lows that had shaped his life, urging students to build a steady and resilient spirit. He also reminded them that challenges are a part of every meaningful path. Success, he explained, is built on perseverance, character and the courage to rise after every fall.
The afternoon session saw the presence of Sunil Chandra Mamgain, IG (Admin), ITBP as the Chief Guest and Saloni Malhotra, fashion personality and World International winner, as Guest of Honour. The dignitaries added a warm presence, uplifting the spirit of the young performers.
The Cultural Extravaganza, themed Anant: The Rhythm of Life, became a vivid extension of the school's philosophy. The stage shifted from soothing scenes of Nature to energetic choreography as students from different grades performed with striking discipline and teamwork, reflecting months of careful preparation.
The afternoon also witnessed a charming production titled Krishna in Wonderland. Imaginative and playful, it contrasted two worlds: one filled with Nature, innocence and quiet beauty, and the other shaped by fast-paced, commercialised, gadget-heavy living. The youngest performers, with their expressive faces and infectious energy, won repeated applause and affectionate smiles from parents and guests.
The formal programme opened with the Annual Report presented by Principal Archana Soni. She outlined the school's progress across academics, co-scholastic activities and value-based initiatives. With conviction, she spoke about the school's efforts to combine modern teaching methods, digital tools, interdisciplinary learning and experiential education with the cultural and spiritual ethos of the Chinmaya Mission.
School Manager Shibani Khorana honoured outstanding faculty members, recognising their dedication, innovation and commitment to inspiring excellence. Her presence added warmth to the occasion and reinforced the belief that institutions thrive when their teachers feel appreciated.
Among the many recognitions, the Human Values Award stood out for its deep significance. Given by the School Management, it celebrates qualities that cannot be measured through exams alone. Students are chosen after sustained observation of their behaviour in classrooms, corridors, playgrounds and community spaces. Traits such as sincerity, compassion, respect and service guide the selection.
The true spirit of the Annual Day emerged through the awards ceremony. Each accolade reflected the school's belief that every child carries a unique potential waiting to be nurtured.
Chinmaya Vidyalaya sees education as a complete journey that sharpens the mind, strengthens emotional intelligence, builds physical confidence and awakens spiritual awareness. This vision came alive through honours across academics, sports, performing arts, innovation, public speaking, community work and co-scholastic pursuits. Every award encouraged students to embrace growth and strive for excellence with inner strength. htc...
