Bridgerton's Katie doesn't 'want to go back' to Harry Potter days
India, March 10 -- Long before actor Katie Leung charmed audiences with her character Lady Araminta Gun in Bridgerton season 4, she was known to millions as Cho Chang in the Harry Potter film series. Reflecting on her journey from the magical world of Hogwarts to the regency drama, Leung says she wouldn't want to go back to the time when she worked on the fantasy drama film series.
"I was so young at the time, and so easily influenced by what people would say about me because I didn't know who I was," the 38-year-old told Entertainment Tonight in an interview. The actor shared that she joined Bridgerton with a healthier mindset and a stronger focus on her work. "I'm glad I'm here. I would not want to go back to that time (working on Harry Potter). Not because I had a bad time or anything, but it's just really nice when you know who you are, and I'm still figuring that out, but I'm a bit closer," said Leung.
Leung made her acting debut in 2005 with Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, where she essayed the role of Cho Chang. She later featured in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007), Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (2009), and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 and 2 (2010 and 2011 respectively).
