India, May 12 -- T he Bombay High Court has restrained the direct OTT release of Bhool Chuk Maaf, which was set for a theatrical release on May 9. PVR Inox had moved the court against Maddock Films, the makers of the Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi-starrer, after they cancelled its theatrical release citing Indo-Pak conflict. The next hearing in the case will take place on June 16. The court granted interim relief to the theatre giant, restraining the production house and its associates from releasing Bhool Chuk Maaf on any platform before the eight-week holdback period following the theatrical release in India, as initially agreed with PVR Inox. As per a report, the theatre chain has sought damages of Rs.60 crore. Among other objections, the multiplex chain alleged that the decision was taken due to 'poor advance booking' and not the rising tensions between India and Pakistan. htc...
