Become your own safe place: Smriti Irani's Valentine's Day message
India, Feb. 15 -- While many were busy booking candlelit tables or picking out roses, actor-politician Smriti Irani took a different route this Valentine's Day by championing the importance of self-love and emphasising on a "quieter romance" in a world full of loud declarations and grand gestures.
The 49-year-old skipped the traditional romantic tropes, instead posting a candid Instagram selfie paired with a reflective message.
In the caption, the ex-cabinet Minister wrote, "In a world that measures love in decibels - in roses that promise forever, in candlelight that flickers like borrowed devotion, in greeting cards that say what the heart sometimes cannot... choose a quieter romance.
