India, March 22 -- Asian Institute of Medical Sciences hosted a cyclothon in Faridabad to promote health awareness, drawing around 400 participants from across Delhi-NCR. The event featured two race categories - 21 km and 10 km - with enthusiastic participation from all age groups, ranging from children to senior citizens. The event was flagged off by Dr NK Pandey, Chairman and Managing Director of Asian Institute of Medical Sciences. Also present were Anupam Pandey, Neha Pandey, Dr PS Ahuja, and Shailesh Kumar Jha, along with other senior members of the hospital. The 21 km race flagged off in the morning from Asian Institute of Medical Sciences, with cyclists passing Vivanta Surajkund and Kant Enclave before looping back to the hospital. The 10 km category followed a shorter route from Anangpur to the hospital. To ensure safety and comfort, organisers stationed nursing staff, ambulances, and physiotherapists along the route, along with well-placed water and juice counters for participants. On this occasion, Dr NK Pandey said, "Organising this cyclothon on the occasion of Women's Day marks an important step toward increasing health awareness in society. We are happy to see that people remain conscious about their health and participate enthusiastically in such initiatives." Participants from ages 10 to 79 took part in the event, which was divided into two categories: 10-40 years and 40-80 years. They were provided with T-shirts, medals, tracking chips, and refreshments, ensuring a well-organised and inclusive experience. Actor Esha Gupta, who attended the event, called it "a wonderful initiative" and said, "Cycling keeps us healthy and is also beneficial for the environment. This initiative by Asian Hospital encourages people to adopt a fit and active lifestyle." The organisers also arranged a Raahgiri segment for participants and spectators. Activities such as Zumba and Bhangra added energy and excitement to the atmosphere. HTC...
