India, Feb. 16 -- In April last year, actor Deepika Padukone took a trip to the Land of the Thunder Dragon, Bhutan, and besides visiting some scenic spots, she also indulged in the authentic food of the country. During a recent interview, she spoke about her newfound love for a Bhutanese dish, Ema Datshi, which she had tried during her visit. This uncomplicated yet flavourful stew, combining cheese and spice, holds the esteemed title of being Bhutan's national dish. Shedding light on its essence, Chef Sonam Tshering, a professor at the Royal Institute for Tourism and Hospitality in Bhutan, explains, "Ema means chilli, and datshi means cheese in the Dzongkha language, making it one of the most celebrated dishes in Bhutanese cuisine."...
