Akshaye Khanna was not nice on the sets: Farah Khan recalls early work with actor
India, March 15 -- F
ilmmaker Farah Khan recently spoke about her evolving rapport with actor Akshaye Khanna, who is currently receiving praise for his role as Rehman Dakait in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar.
Appearing on Ranveer Allahbadia's podcast, Farah recalled that in the 1990s, working with Akshaye could be challenging. "In the '90s, I did a couple of movies with Akshaye, and after that I was traumatised. He used to be a different person - introverted, but not a nice person on set. He was constantly irritable, used to throw things, and say, 'What kind of dialogue is this?' At that time, he had mentioned he was losing his hair," she said.
Farah explained that her perception of Akshaye changed when she worked with him on Dil Chahta Hai (2001), the directorial debut of her cousin Farhan Akhtar. "He had completely changed by then. He had reconciled with his hair. On set, he became very chill. And he is a brilliant dancer - if you watch Koi Kahe Kehta Rahe, he is dancing better than Aamir Khan and Saif Ali Khan," she added.
Farah also shared that she now shares a warm bond with Akshaye. She even called him after watching Dhurandhar to congratulate him and visited him at his Alibag house."What I like about him is that he is not about the fluff, he is about the work. He enjoys acting," she said. HTC...
