India, Oct. 16 -- Following Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Karan Johar and Nagarjuna, actors Hrithik Roshan and Akshay Kumar have approached the Delhi and Bombay High Courts (HC), respectively, seeking protection of their personality rights. On Wednesday, Delhi HC protected Hrithik's (51) personality and publicity rights and directed the removal of certain objectionable social-media posts. However, the court maintained it would not pass ex parte directions for removing fan pages at this stage. The matter has been listed for further hearing on March 27 next year, and a detailed interim injunction order will be passed later. Hrithik's plea stated his image was used on merchandise, and AI-altered visuals and morphed videos replaced his voice. Meanwhile, Akshay (58) has filed a similar suit in the Bombay HC. Lawyers Dr Birendra Saraf and Janay Jain appeared for him and succeeded in the same. The actor, via his team, had alleged widespread misuse of his name, image and voice through deepfake videos and AI-generated content. htc...
