India, May 26 -- S inger Adnan Sami recently shared a patriotic tribute to India by flaunting a customised in-ear monitor (see inset) designed with the Indian tricolour. Used by artists during live performances to receive vocal cues, the device was custom-made in the US, as revealed by Adnan on his social media. "Just received my customised 'In Ear Monitors' from @UltimateEarsPro in USA for my live concerts! These are my second pair & they sound incredible. They made this design with the Indian flag especially upon my request," he wrote, posting pictures of the gear. While many applauded the gesture, the singer also faced backlash from some users online. One Pakistani X user mocked him with a jibe: "Heheh ch****a. This is what you are supposed to do to prove your loyalty to Endia." Adnan didn't hold back. Responding sharply, he wrote, "At least I'm expressing my love & emotions for my country which all normal citizens do. You, on the other hand have to not only swear allegiance to your Army but have to spend all your lives being their whipped b****." This isn't the first time Adnan has found himself at the centre of controversy over his nationality. After a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, he was previously labelled a "Pakistani agent" by trolls - a claim he dismissed with sarcasm.
