India, Oct. 4 -- Actor Adam Sandler has reacted to the swirling Oscar chatter on his performance in Jay Kelly at the film's New York City premiere, where he was joined by his wife Jackie Sandler, and their daughters, Sadie (19) and Sunny (16). "Well, that's real cool and real nice of everybody to say, and I'm just happy I got to be in it," the 59-year-old told People. He went on to praise writer-director Noah Baumbach, saying, "My man Noah Baumbach wrote it, kind of put it all together, got the performances he wanted out of everybody, and I'm proud to be in it." Jay Kelly marks Baumbach's first film since White Noise (2022), and also stars George Clooney, Laura Dern, and Billy Crudup. The dramedy follows Clooney's title character, a famed actor, and his longtime manager Ron (played by Sandler) as the duo embark on a soul-searching journey across Europe.
