A toast to women entrepreneurs

lasses clinked and conversations flowed easily at the cocktail and dinner gala that set the tone for the IWEC South East Asia Meet in the Capital. Hosted by FICCI FLO in collaboration with the International Women's Entrepreneurial Challenge (IWEC) Foundation, the evening served as a lively prelude to two days of dialogue, discovery and celebration of women-led enterprise.
Among the evening's most engaging voices was Ibukun Awosika, Chairperson of the IWEC Foundation, who shared a memorable story from her classroom about a young woman asked to secure a meeting with a state governor in just 48 hours. "She thought she was being set up to fail," Awosika recalled, adding, "But she reached out to her network and said, 'Girls, I need help.' In two hours, she had the appointment."
Poonam Sharma, President of FICCI FLO, summed it up perfectly: "When we meet and share our experiences, we realise how much we have in common and how much more we can achieve together."...
