India, Nov. 5 -- The lawns of British High Commissioner Lindy Cameron's residence in Delhi came alive with music and celebrations as she hosted the annual King's Birthday Party, ahead of King Charles' 77th birthday on November 14. She delighted the guests right off the bat, greeting them in Hindi: "Namaste doston, mera naam Lindy Cameron hai." She also embodied Indo-British fusion attire, pairing a saree with a jacket, and said, "I've learned to appreciate really beautiful fabrics since coming to India. I love this gold silk fabric, and I thought I'd try this sort of trendy look with a jacket - it feels like a good High Commissioner look." Dr S Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs, said, "Over the years, our ties have evolved from a complicated historical association to a dynamic and forward-looking partnership.
