full house at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) recently witnessed 108 Delhi dancers pay a historic tribute marking the centenary of Mr Dance of India, Prof Mohan Khokar (1925-2025). Curated by Ashish Khokar, the evening was a celebration of heritage, scholarship and the spirit of fraternity in Indian dance.
Classical dancer Sonal Mansingh recalled, "I first met Mohan ji in 1966 at the Sangeet Natak Akademi. From the outset, I saw a man of discipline, ethics and a heart of gold. To be part of this centenary is a blessing. His collection is a cultural treasure that deserves a dedicated film to reach audiences beyond the sangrahalay."Htc...
