India, Aug. 21 -- What better way for an art gallery to mark its 21-year-long journey than showcasing the works of India's celebrated masters? To celebrate the milestone, Gallerie Nvya founder Tripat K Kalra recently unveiled a collection that included popular artworks from SH Raza, Krishen Khanna, Akbar Padamsee and more. "The gallery is a home for art, my growing collection and a platform for emerging voices," Kalra said. The evening was graced by chief guest, Union Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri. "I have had the privilege of seeing the works of these eminent artists across the world. During my 39 years in the foreign service, India's art always held a very special place. I felt deeply proud," Puri recalled at the event, where the highlight was a rare, 45-feet-long piece by artist Paresh Maity. The exhibition is on display at Bikaner House till August 24....
