unjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's posthumous track Barota dropped on his official YouTube channel on Friday and shot up instantly, crossing 2.2 million views and 7 lakh likes within three hours. The first 10 minutes alone logged over 2 lakh likes, reflecting the massive anticipation around his unreleased catalogue. Comments crossed 5 lakh by the third hour, and the video has now exceeded 15 million views.
The four-minute track carries Moosewala's trademark themes: Rural references, swagger, youth and rivalry, alongside mentions of weapons. As per Bhaskar English, the lyrics also hint at giving up weapons for love, a shift fans have already noted online.
The Kid Studio also shared a behind-the-scenes clip on Instagram, prompting another wave of fan reactions.
