'When you're part of ambitious projects, the wait is going to be long'
India, Oct. 26 -- With shows like Hush Hush, Bambai Meri Jaan, and Gyaarah Gyaarah to her credit, Kritika Kamra has steadily made her mark in the digital space. Yet, she admits that the gaps between releases often leave her feeling a bit anxious.
Last seen in Saare Jahan Se Accha, the 36-year-old says, "There's been a bit of a wait before releases, which sometimes can be difficult. But luckily, since the show came out, it has been watched consistently. It did the numbers, and the feedback is still coming, even after two months of release. That's always a good sign, because it means that people have watched it and recommended it to other people who then have watched it too."
Kritika will next be seen in Matka King with actor Vijay Varma. The show has been in development for a while, but the release date is yet to be finalised. "You want your work to reach people, especially when you have waited very long. Matka King has been in the works for some time. But that's the thing when you're part of ambitious projects; you know that the wait is going to be long. I try to keep myself busy and not have all my eggs in one basket. But when it finally comes out, and people receive your work well, it feels worth the wait," she says.
Reflecting on her journey, she says, "My growth has been slow and steady and I can't complain. I'm in this for the long haul. I want to make choices that I'm sure of and I don't mind if they take some time to get me the gratification."...
