India, Sept. 30 -- Bidita Bag celebrates Durga Ashtami with much fervour, but this year it is extra special for the actor. "Ashtami (today) is a significant day that I celebrate with great enthusiasm. I fast and perform morning anjali at a para (neighbourhood) pandal. But this year is more special because my birthday falls on Ashtami," she beams, adding, "The energy, the idols, the food - everything is magical." Ask what her celebrations look like and Bidita tells us, "I have visited Belur Math temple in Kolkata a few times for Kumari Puja. When I'm not shooting, I try to make traditional Bengali food and sweets." However, the actor muses that it can be easy to forget the significance amid the clamour of festivities. "It's common to get caught up and forget the meaning of special days. It's valuable to reflect on the context that gives them meaning. Reflecting on the triumph of good and the divine feminine during Puja, for example, can add richness to the celebrations," she concludes....
