India, May 3 -- Actor Jeremy Renner has said that he walked from the second season of Hawkeye after being offered half his original pay for the first. The 54-year-old who portrays Clint Barton in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is still recovering from a near-fatal snowplow accident in January, 2023. "I'm like, 'I'm sorry? Why? Did you think I'm only half the Jeremy because I got ran over?'" he told the High Performance podcast. "This is not Marvel, mind you. This is like, just Disney, not even really Disney. It's just the penny pinchers, the accountants," he said, adding, "Sadly, I still love the character and would love to do it. But I had to defend myself. I didn't ask for any more money.
