India, Sept. 17 -- Actor Adarsh Gourav has been part of the Indian film industry for almost a decade. But unlike several of his peers, he has resisted the pull of constant visibility, PR overdrive and paparazzi culture. Adarsh, who was recently seen in the American web series Alien: Earth, says, "When you are not naturally interested in doing something, it's very hard to do it. I have never been inclined to do a lot of PR. It's not my scene." The 31-year-old adds, "I have to do PR when there is a release; other than that, I don't see a point. Lucky enough, I am getting the kind of work that I am doing and that is enough for me." This is not his first international outing. He also played the lead in The White Tiger (2021), which brought him global recognition, including nominations for the Academy Award and BAFTA. Working across borders has sharpened his understanding of stories. "It's like before OTT platforms came into our lives, the number of people who were exposed to international cinema was limited, and then we suddenly got this access. Sometimes, because of the quality of certain scripts you're lucky enough to read, you realise there is writing like this that can happen. Honestly, sometimes it's hard to find the right producers to back such content in India, but it's the only realisation I've had," the actor signs off....
